Marguerite Emrick Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marguerite Joan Aardema, Feenstra, Emrick Born in Chicago December 2, 1928, raised on a farm in northern Michigan, died June 1, 2022 in Redlands California. She is survived by three children, Richard Feenstra (Sue), Deborah Crowley (Keith), and Laura Mills (Sean); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter Pamela Daniel. Marge was a giver by nature, a teacher by trade, and a leader/advocate for youth and those in need. Serving in multiple roles, on multiple committees, boards, and community projects, she dedicated her life to the enrichment of others. During her 40 years of teaching, she was an advocate for children serving on the California Teachers Association State Council, and as the Political Action chair for San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. After retirement she became more active with community organizations including the Boys and Girls Clubs, Assistance League of Redlands and Sunrise Rotary. She was an active member of The First Baptist Church of Redlands since 1957, serving in many capacities. She was loved and admired by all that knew her, touching the lives of hundreds, if not thousands. She once stated that the single most important thing she wishes to be known by is “I’d like to be known as a loving, caring person to family and community”. Those of us that were fortunate enough to be touched by her path, I am sure would unanimously acclaim: “Well done Marge, you have succeeded your goal, beyond compare!” Enjoy the journey beyond Marge, thank you for blessing all you met. For those who wish to honor her life, please make donations to the Assistance League of Redlands for the Operation School Bell program about which she says: “Many of these kids have not had new clothes and certainly not been able to select what they want.
