Janice A Kibby

December 18, 1938 - December 7, 2020

Much loved Redlands pre-school teacher Janice A. Kibby died 12/7/2020at 81 years. Following a long term illness with dementia. She was an honored lead teacher for three decades with Redlands playschool at its Redlands Presbyterian church location and later its Westside Christian site. Born to Robert and Priscilla Flynn of Colton on December 18, 1938, Janice graduated from Colton High School in 1957 and from San Bernardino Valley College in 1959. She attended Long Beach State University and later completed her bachelor of arts degree in child at the University of Redlands Johnston College program. Later in her career she served as an instructor in child Development program at Crafton Hills College. In August 1960 Janice was introduced to Ronald Kibby in the old Fox movie theatre and a lifelong love relationship led to their marriage on July 8, 1961. The Family grew to include a son, Brian of San Antonio, Texas a daughter, Marda, of Redlands, and eventually six grandchildren Cassondra, Joseph, Erica, Ashlee, Jackson, and Lauren Janice joined the Assistance League of Redlands in 2204 and enjoyed nearly 15years of active membership including two years as Operation School Bell chairwoman. Janice continued her community service activities until her struggle with dementia ended her participation. She and Ron were active in their Catholic faith as parishioners of Sacred Heart/ Holy Name of Jesus Church
