Donald H. Gifford

May 30, 1934 - January 24, 2022

Donald H. Gifford passed away peacefully in his sleep January 24,2022. He was born in Santa Monica in 1934. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marjorie. He was a dedicated, loving father to his three children Lorelle, Jennifer and Steven; And devoted to his grandson, Rio Gifford. He loved his brothers Bill and Bob (Kay), and his many nieces and nephews. Nothing was more important to him than family time. He was a loyal friend throughout life to his fellow baseball teammates, ATKRON Naval Squadron, coaching staff, former students, and his Bible study group. He was generous and unselfish, a great encourager, his happy, warm and caring spirit always gave us a boost. A reliable leader who was humble about his own awards and accomplishments. Don always led an active life and kept busy helping others right up until the end. He finished the race well. Our faith reminds us that the tears now shed are not for Don. He has gone to a better place free from pain, sorrow and concern. Instead, the tears are for family and all of Don’s good friends who miss him so much. Friends are invited to join us as we celebrate the life of Don, who had such a profound impact upon so many people and accomplished so much in the community, on March 12, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Church, 1551 Reservoir Road, Redlands.
